Because what you expect just after having your car checked over from front to back in preparation for a road trip is to have a dead battery.

However, the price of a new battery did save me from deciding whether I should wait in an iPhone line for a few more weeks (ouch).

Now, as for the second -- San Francisco, then Seattle, then Portland (actually, Powell's, which is nerd heaven), then down the Oregon coast as long as money for gas holds out, then over to the 101 for the fast way home by way of Splash Cafe for clam chowder.; July 27, 2008 at 3:24 PM
